They are seeking a Senior Trader to join their small team based in Houston to lead their Gasoline Components, PYGAS & ETBE trading desk for the Americas KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  
  • Lead and enhance the current Gasoline Components (Toluene, Mixed Xylenes, Ethylbenzene, Cumene, MTBE) PYGAS & ETBE trading activities for the Americas
  • Accountable for consistently meeting targeted delivery schedules, profitability and optimization targets.
  • Coordinate and optimize logistical arrangements to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of Product shipments.
  • Responsible for the profit and loss of a physical product trading book based upon the buying and selling of petrochemical.
  • Determine recommendations for company hedging strategy and develop related counterparties with good reputations in chemicals area.
  • Develops trading strategies, initiates and manages physical and financial positions for profit, focuses on asset optimization, and manages price exposure of trading positions.
  • Working with operations and mid office functions to ensure trades are properly captured and balanced in the trade management system
  • Working with the Origination/Trading teams on developing and maintaining strong working relationships with suppliers/producers, local distribution companies, and end use markets
  • Seeking transportation and storage lease positions to help grow 3rd party business
  • Communicate and coordinate with global offices on inquiries, orders and coordination of supply.
  • Communication with trading counterparties, brokers and other market participants
SUCCESS CRITERIA
  • Minimum of 10 years in a related field
  • In-depth knowledge of the Gasoline Pool
  • Knowledge of blended products
  • Experience of trading a physical book
  • Knowledge of derivatives
EDUCATION A degree level education is required, Chemical Engineering is desired
